FPCI together with Amb. Husain Haqqani, Amb. Tomasz Lukaszuk, Prof. Muhittin Ataman and Alexander M. Hynd are proud to have a Virtual Public Discussion held on July 28, 2023 titled ‘Middle Powers’ Perspectives on Regional Security and the Rise of Minilateralism’. The dialog discussed the shifting landscape of regional security architectures, where each region responds differently to emerging challenges amid intensifying global rivalries. Minilateralism has emerged as a new and strategic approach for middle-power countries to help shape evolving regional security frameworks. Through this approach, middle powers are increasingly demonstrating their roles as regional leaders, bridging interests and contributing to a more stable and cooperative security environment.
